Hello!
MY NAME IS NICOLE
I am a Los Angeles-based costume maker, originally from North Dakota. I grew up loving to play and dress up, but it wasn’t until undergrad that I found my passion for costumes. I went to Illinois State University to get my Masters of Fine Arts in theatrical costume design. Shortly after receiving my MFA, I moved to Los Angeles.

FOR THE LOVE OF COSPLAY
During the COVID-19 pandemic, when out of work, I started my life as a cosplayer. I love the dissection of a costume and the figuring out of materials. Becoming a favorite character is the best feeling. And I love helping people get that feeling as well. Making cosplays for other people, collaborating with them, is almost better than wearing cosplays myself.
PASSION FOR THEATRE
As a costumer, I look to the characters first. Characters - in theatre, film, or cosplay - influence each other and the world around them. It is my job to make sure that influence can be seen by the audience. As a character develops, their clothing should reflect those changes, no matter how small. Each piece of clothing should be intentional.

My passion for theatre began young and has continued well into adult life. Up until the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked as the wardrobe supervisor on Rock of Ages in Hollywood, CA as well as designing for local theatres.
